Jen Can Shoot

Back in Dallas just before Christmas, Jen reluctantly tagged along with her father and I to go for a sporting clays session at Elm Fork.  She'd been shooting once before, years ago, and said that she didn't hit a single clay when she went.

I don't know if it is due to instruction by her dad, being more at ease, or what...but she hit plenty on this trip! Check her out, getting in position:

Here is another picture, during actual shooting.  She started shooting with her dad's Yildiz over/under, and switched to my Browning a few stands in (this was near the end). I've cropped the picture to show the shell being ejected from the gun (you can see the next shell in the process of loading as well; click on each picture for the full image):

My parents gave me a gift certificate for Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club (where Jen went on her previous time, years ago), so we'll have to both pay a visit there soon.
